Hooded high
The rain my veil
I come again
On the sweet earth,
My crimson orb
Of honey dew
Rare as autumn's rain
Enlighten as the little folk
I beseech thee
Come again.
Wisest are the elven folk
Who sample of this vine
Wise too, those who sing the rain
But wiser still is mine,
For if I could for one day dare
To be away
Then I'd be there
Where sunshine laughs
Beyond compare
Where time is but a memory
And I am but a tear.
The trees are hung
With crystal light
The merry dance begins
And as she comes
They greet the night
A mask of star dust grins,
They call you out,
Into the field
Red blood of honey joy
And all their worth
To earth they yield
Sweet vision they employ.
So come to walk
Among the trees
There, rain will dance
Among the leaves
And thirst will kiss you
As it goes away,
And you will smile,
For no one's sad
Inside the rain dance
All are glad
And every heart is full
And all are one.

The full title is;
The Children of the Dance of Rain, and Fruit as Red as Blood Fresh From my Vein
It feels a bit Tolkein-ish to me now, it's actually about gathering plums on a rainy day.
